I recently made a purchase on Ebay and the firm sent the wrong item. They asked for a pic of what they had sent which I took and sent off to them. We are both agreed they sent the wrong item but they want me to pay the postage back and be refunded. Now I have no problem wrapping it up or allowing collection but I am not willing to lay out my money to return the item. Should I stick to my guns on this or post the item back? It is a large box and once they have it back I am not sure how they intend to refund me. They claim they have no system in place to have a parcel collected which I find hard to believe as they are quite a large trader.Your thoughts please.

I would say that they should refund the postage via paypal and obviously refund the item value ..................their mistake not yours you shouldn't have to pay for their error

I would stick to your guns. Also it may be an idea to contact your local Trading Standards office as this always lends weight to any dispute. These days you can use your local office irrespective of where the seller is. But first please read the details of the eBay listing again to check that non refundable postage on returns is not mentioned. Good luck.
