Hi as far as I know nothing is a straight forward bolt in swap I do know that capri/ escort sterering suspension can be adapted for mk2 zephyr/ zodiac & consul, old ford auto services even do a kit which enables it to be a bolt in swap. Bearing in mind mk2's and mk3's share a lot of components it may be worth a call to see what they recommend or can offer. I think a couple of people on here have converted their cars so they would be able to offer better / more detailed advice , good luck if you decide to try a swap.

capri suspension is a pretty easy swap as it is the same width as the z/z , will be putting up the details in my build thread soon ....

I had a chat with George (zephyrc) about this and I think that he said that the mk3 hubs fit the Capri struts.

i'm sure you're right about mk3 zephyr zodiac hubs fitting capri struts, mk4 hubs do. the wheel bearings are the same for mk4's and capris for sure. not 100% if mk3's are the same as mk4's though.

Hi. I am also fairly certain that Mk3 hubs fit Capri struts.

Zephyr zodiac hubs are a straight swap onto the Capri strut.. But the strut is to short..make a spacer to go between the Capri strut and the zephyr panel..with the wheels off the zephyr mark the centre of the zephyr crossmember, when you swap the cross members use this reference to centre the Capri crossmember on the chassis.. I used a triumph column but Capri one works just as well

I am doing this conversion at present and am going to use the 24v xmember to keep the engine mounts and am going to use the capri lower arms to correct the width and get the tie rods on the rack shortened.

surely if capri stuff is tried and tested (as above) then using the capri crossmember, rack tca's and struts is better than a mishmash of bits that may not drive well at all. if it's engine mounts that concern you junk the scorpio mounts and use 2.8 capri ones. they'll bolt to the crossmember and to the 24v engine as they're both cologne v6 blocks.

Its not the mounts. Its the fact that i have a cossie granada front clip that i was driving last week that is now removed. It is in good working order with springs and brakes to match the engine. I want to use what I have instead of paying out for A capri front clip.

I have sourced a capri front end and am going to use it with 24v brakes and zodiac hubs. I think the 24v running gear can be used but a narrow coil spring and offset top mount would need to be used. So as the summer is approching and i want to drive this i am going for the capri (proven)set up
