Hi All. I am Joe and I have recently bought a Mk3 Zodiac 1964 in white. I used to terrorize the streets of Hemel Hempstead back in the seventies with a succession of mk3s and last had a white Zodiac ELW268C fitted with wolfrace wheels and Essex V6, this was reportedly broken up for spares in 2000 (not by me) I,d love to know the details. I bought my current Zodiac in July and have joined the mk3 owners club. The car has been partly restored but still has a few issues. I am on the Galeforce site but it is great to have one of our own! Well done

Hi Joe and welcome,OOOOPS it was me who broke up ELW268C around 2004, It was yellow when i had it and had cragar wheels on it but was quite rotten due to standing a long while. On a brighter note ive just finished rebuilding the v6 essex engine and box and many parts will live on including the engine and box in my white zodiac estate;I only have one photo on the computor, I will scan some photos of it ive got and post em up

Hi Roy, good to hear that some news of the old bus (at least she cant tell any tales!) I'd love to see some more pics and will try to post the few that I have. If the engine is still the same one this will be its third rebuild that I know of! Incidently the engine came out of a mk4 Executive estate with manual transmision must have been really unusual (even more unusual now)

Hi Roy Ouch Starting to wonder if its the same car as from the pics it looks like a white car! she was originaly Goodwood green, had GRP front wings, new old stock inner wings sprayed black (one side was a modified Zephyr wing) Interor all painted black with capri bucket seats. How things change.

Hi joe,Reckon its defo the same car,had fibreglass wings, painted interior but a bench seat, but the giveaway is the two inner wings exactly as you desribe but painted yellow to match car. They were not spot welded on but tacked with about an inch of weld evey couple of inches. May have another pic to show original colour.

That right, my mate Bob (he owned the 59 Cadilac in the Matchbox videos) welded them, scorched the sound deadening and nearly torched the car! Another thing about ELW, she had a 3.90 diff from a Z4 and a police car floor change box, she was always a flyer and ran 17 sec quarter miles with the fan belt off (secret tuning mod) Happy days
