Hello, My name is Peter and I now live in Wiltshire just a few miles from Stonehenge
I owned a Mk3 Zodiac LGP 741D for seven years and was a member of the Club in the 80's when I then lived in Middlesex . I remember going to club meets at the Nuffield Arms Pub on the A40 just before Hanger Lane in West London. I used to go to the 4 Marks meet's at Knebworth House and the Mk3 days at Bluebell Railway. I also remember club trips to local show's in Uxbridge and Enfield Pageant of motoring to name a few.
I have started Looking for a good Mk3 and thought the best place to start was this forum and re-joining the Club. I very much doubt if there are any of the old members from those day's still around now but would be nice to catch up and swap some stories.
Thanks for reading this and maybe hope to get out to some meeting's when this madness ease's this year.
Peter

Hi Peter and welcome I wasn't a member back then but have had MK3s on and off since the mid seventies and went to the Nuffield Arms a couple of times. There are a few other members in the club that have been around since god was a boy!

Hello and welcome to the forum!
I have been a member since the club was formed in spring 80. Lots of water under the bridge since then. The Zodiac I brought back in 1985 to replace my Zephyr 4 has been sorned for over a decade as I have had to undergo some restoration. I might remember you but we have all changed a little - I am a few stone heavier and my brown hair is greying rapidly and nothing as thick as it was.
I attended Bluebell a number of times and 4 Marques at Billing and Knebworth besides various club days South and North. Maybe if you post a picture it might jog a few memories.
Cheers, Michael...

Just checked on the DVLA database and your car's last tax ran out at the end of April 2002. Certificates of Destruction came in about that time so there is a possibility your car may still exist.

Thanks for the replies, When I got the car in the early 80's it was 1 owner and 35,000 miles from new!!! It was the most money I had ever paid for a car at £900. I owned it for 7 years and only covered a further 7000 miles. Sold it to a dealer in Kent and bought an F-Type Victor.
I have always had Ford's except for a couple of Vauxhalls since I passed my test in 81.
Still have a couple of Old ford's and some Bikes but need to relieve my Mk3 itch!!!
I am going to Join the Club and will dig out the Photo's I have and see about getting a few up on here.

Welcome Peter, my father was a member in the 80’s and funnily enough he is rejoining as well. We didn’t ever venture out to the Nuffield Arms though although we did go as far as Knebworth, my parents now live outside Gillingham In Dorset at the moment where my Zodiac is tucked away. There is an Ambassador blue Zodiac on eBay at the moment that really looks like it might be ok (they always look ok from photos) it does seem like all of the bodywork is done which is the bit most people dislike doing and is rare to find. I did notice on the photos of underneath that it looks like a rear jacking point has been pushed into the chassis which does make on question the rest of the car but, I’m sure it’s worth a look. Good luck.

Thanks David, I will have a look at the one on E-bay...
I was going through a draw in the workshop and found a few Plaques from when I had the car. The Bluebell Railway Club Day in September '86 and '87 and the Club day at Knebworth in 88. There is also a couple from the Four Mark Convention at Knebworth in '87 and '88.
If there are Plaques there will be Photo's.. I will see what I can find.
