Hi all, I’m mitch from swindon, I have been looking for a z6 for a while now & can’t find anything that I want. My wife has told me it has to be good to excellent condition as I’ve already got a rover p4 project going on & im not allowed to fiddle with whatever I buy (welllll maybe a little) & it’s got to be a fairly light colour. Maybe a zodiac would be ok.I noticed there’s one up for auction but it has a slight problem with over heating so her in doors said no way but I am tempted.
if any of you know of anything going or up soon please let me know.

There are a few good ones about and they do come up for sale. There are more Zephyr 4s and Zodiacs than Zephyrs 6s left. It may be worth joining the owners club as a lot of the better ones belong to club memebership and will get advertised in the club magazine first.

A good one is ok to drive, not what you would call a fast car but will cruise at 70+ and have half reasonable fuel consumption. The Z6 and Zodiacs were a fast car in their day and are still cnsidered pretty quick now.

Aren’t the zephyr 4’s a bit under powered for such a large car? I used to think that until I bought one. The acceleration is not impressive by modern standards but it can keep up with modern traffic and happily cruise at 65 mph. A good 4 is better than a worn-out 6 (I know this from personal experience!) and fuel consumption is better. And if it needs an engine rebuild it would obviously be cheaper as there is 2 less of everything. |

Hi Mitch I've had my 6 for around 6 years. It gets less use than it ought to, less than 1000 miles since I've had her, I have been toying with the idea of selling her but the price would have to be right. If you want to send me a private message I can let you have some details.   |
