Not really a show but today is Drive It Day. The idea is to use you Mk III original any other two, three, four or X (no not because I cannot spell a word) wheeler today, attend a classic vehicle show or meet, etc. Sadly no classic to use but I am going to a classic car museum...

I thought that the idea was just to go out and drive it (no shows or meets necessary) I washed off my Zodiac and went out, saw an early Range Rover, very nice Rover P4 driven by a young lady with blue spiky hair, a couple of MGBs a Morris Minor Traveler, and an old drop head Rolls Royce (he ignored me the rest waved)

I went out in my horrible Herald. I saw 3 MGs and a Mini - nothing else remotely classic!

I went out today as well, well me and the " 'er indoors", saw an early K 1971 Range Rover, an Austin Healey 3000 in silver about 1963, a mk2 Consul 375 about 1961, a Humber Snipe about 1964, and an old Bus presumably 1950s, all on sunny Isle of Wight or as some people refer to it as "pile of shite"......!! Everyone waved and probably nearly crashed into one another...great stuff...Col.

Another club I belong to had an invite to view Roger Dudding's private collection of classics. He owns Dudrich Holdings that some of you may rent a lock-up from. We arrived in 15+ classics from a Herald via a pre-war Austin to a Daimler Dart. Well over 100 vehicles in the collection that also includes motorcycles. Particular favourites were a Triumph Tiger 500 (nicely balanced bike) and a Bentley S3. There are quite a few exotica (like Ferraris and Astons in the collection. Also a 48 cylinder Whitelock motorcycle - apparently it is tricky to start The only other classics I saw all day were two pre-war cars but did not recognise them. One was about the size of a Morris Eight and the other of an Austin Big Sixteen...
