This is a small show (60cars) that I organise in conjunction with the summer fete at a local primary school where I am a Governor. It is in Sutton (South London/Surrey borders) nearthe A217 Sutton by-pass, about 8 miles north of the M25, junction 8 and this year it will be on SATURDAY JUNE 25th from11.00 until 14.30 You can see some photos of 2014's event here: s218.photobucket.com/user/edwardprothero/library/Westbourne%20Classics%202014?sort=2&page=1As you can see from the photos, we need more Zephyrs and Zodiacs there, so if you would like to come along please send me a private message and I will email you an entry form. What a great Idea. I thought about doing something like this at my local school but not sure if we would get many cars to show. I would offer to come along to yours but its bit far from Bedford.

Due to the rain we have had lately, there is a possibility that we may have to cancel this event.
More torrential rain is forecast for the next 24 hours, so we will do a " pitch inspection" on Friday morning and make a decision then.

We have some wild, wet and windy weather here in Victoria, Australia at the moment, but we are in the middle of winter. How come the weather in the UK, in the middle of summer, is so dismal?

It's a British summer and the reason we all talk about the weather. I remember in the sixties sitting in seaside cafes with my parents as the rain ran down the outside of the window and the condensation down the inside. Part of a road I use virtually daily has been flooded continually for over a week now. It wouldn't be if the council sorted out the drainage but they won't as they are endlessly cost cutting. To add to the fun there are potholes under the water!  |
