Many of you will have seen articles in the classic bike/car press that the iconic Ace Café has been threaten with closure because of anti-social behaviour. My understanding, though, is that Ace Café visitors were not directly involved but rather that is was unruly kids on Twist ‘n’ Goes not even visiting the café…
The Ace Café must remain! If you hear any news or of any petitions to save the venue please post them here…
When I last visited some months ago I met a gentleman who first visited as a youngster in 1956. He still rides, a Harley, to this day but only in the daylight and the dry but only because as he puts it ‘idiot drivers who don’t adjust their driving for the conditions!’…

Yes I have seen the various threats of closure and there are thousands of videos on You Tube of bikers and car drivers of all disciplines misbehaving. However for every biker doing a wheely there is an American musclcar doing a burnout or "old Skool" Escort doing doughnuts so it no use blaming on particular group. I used to work just up the road when it used to be T&H tyres but I have only been to the Ace once since it re-opened and loved it, it would be a real shame to see it closed.

I think the threat of closure is typical of the “one size fits all” approach so prelevant these days. When was out of work for a period I noticed that Job Centre Plus used the same approach for youngsters with very limited work experience, the bone idle through to those with 40+ years of experience. Near here we had a group of youngsters and their cars congregate in a retail park. A number of outlets shut their doors for Health ‘n’ Safety and the police were called. At the end of the day not one person was warned or prosecuted as no offence had been committed.
Hopefully the few idiots will see sense!
