The date of this mid-week event has now been announced as the 1st July although it is nt on the web as yet. The event runs takes place in the original Walled Garden of Luton Hoo from 4:00 pm till dusk. There is no judging as the idea is to have a pleasant evening enjoying the cars. You can either bring a picnic or excellent burgers and sausages are available together with a rea, coffee, glass of wine or Pimms, or a decent pint of ale to wash it down. Entry is £6. It would be great to get a selection of Mk IIIs along. If anybody id interested I can e-mail or post them an entry form – just PM me. It should be noted that the Walled Garden is totally unconnected with the hiotel therel. It also serves as a wedding venue. The website is www.petermadden.co.uk/

Not heard that anybody is going yet! Currently the Walled Garden is full (150 cars) and that the outer car park is just about full (another 150) but there is loads of space in the adjoining paddock (over 1000 spaces). A Vauxhall club have gathered there in the past - a bunch of Mk IIIs would be great!

I understand that two Zodiacs will be attending so more Mk IIIs are needed. As far as I know you will even be able to enter that evening as the paddock area is quite large. I can check if anybody is interested...

I went along yesterday - it was hot!!! Attendance seemed down on last year but I think a few people stayed at home because of the heat (two friends who were coming along opted out). Spotted a light blue 'C' reg Zephyr 6 in the Walled Garden but did not see the '64 Zodiac that was signed up to attend but some people were already leaving at 6:00 and I had been less than half way round by then). I may have some photos and will upload them if they are there when I access my phone - its decided the memory is full and whatever I delete remains so...
