I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I used to own a mk3 Zodiac about 6 or 7 years ago, ELY748C, a gold one, but let it go as I wasn't using it as much as it deserved, it was a 1 owner previous to me with about 43k on the clock. I got into them as its the first car I remember my dad having, a 2 tone, DGTxxxC, I must ask my mum what the numbers were as she has a photo somewhere.
As long as shmbo is in agreement, I'd like to get another at some point soon, I have a 1/32nd model I run on my slot track and I have several posters when the car was launched that hang in my converted loft.
Hopefully we will be moving house this year and after that I'll know what space I have to get one and hopefully run it more.
I've had a look at some of your cars on the forum, inspiration indeed
Look forward to conversing in the future Dave

Hi David and welcome, I remember your car. Here is a photo of it! Somewhere I have a photo of it parked next to my malibu gold Zodiac when you came to my show at Westbourne School, Sutton in 2003, but I can't find that photo.

Hi Eddie I do remember that show, one of the few I went, if memory serves me it was a bit of a scorcher. The then Mrs C wasn't too impressed with "sitting in a field" all day but I quite enjoyed it. I've found a pic of ELY on the net I'll try posting after this, nice to know its still being used as it looks like the pic was posted in 2011.
Do you still have yours ?
My dilemma now is wether to buy something I can make what I want or buy something done that I just need to polish and drive ??
There is one round the corner from me that has been sat on the drive for the 4 years I have lived here, it is in a sorry state, EXY something, I think it'd be too big a Job for me, but a shame something nt happening with it, I've never had the nerve to knock on the guys door.
I'll try and load that pic
Dave

I have found the picture! Do you still have yours ? Yes, but it is in bits. I am stripping it with the intention of completely restoring it, so will be off the road for a very long time!

Aaaahhhhhh yes, that takes me back So I spoke to my mum today, she said my dads Zode was DGT169C, I checked on the DVLA site and it said not found, shame I was watching an MG reborn today and all the work he was doing to recon the back axle, and I think it helped me make my mind up that I don't want a project, all the tools you need, the skill and the knowledge to tackle a resto is beyond me I think, shame as I liked the idea of "saving" a car Dave
