Hi,
Just found this website and although I no longer own a Zodiac Mk3, I have in the past had quite a lot to do with these cars.
In the late 1980's I purchased my first Mk3 DKB 118C, and drove about in it for a couple of years. Unfortunately it became worth more at that time in bits than as a full car, so it was broken up and sold via the MK3 owners club (newsletter then). I subsequently purchased and broke up 5 MK3 Zodiacs and sold them on as spares (Looking back now it was a great shame as these cars were pretty rust free and the estate is rather a rarity now). One of the earliest MK3's I purchased (pre a reg) was a garage find, bought with the intention of restoring (very early model in Green, 15000 miles on the clock but rotten in the inner wings). Unfortunately the garage where I bought it from lifted it up by the roof using straps! This nearly tore off the front wings and buckled the roof. It was subsequently and sadly broken up.
Approximately 15 years ago I had a final clearout of my fathers garage (full to the rafters with Zodiac Mk3 parts), what wasn't sold unfortunately went to the tip.
However recenly clearing out his loft I have uncovered some chrome wing and sill trims (still covered in tape from the factory ( brand new) and a clock (If I remember it came out of the early Zodiac and last ran fine).
Anyway its nice to see the Zodiac Mk3 still has a following.
Pete
