I went to Luton Festival of Transport on Sunday. It was on from 10:00 to 16:00. I arrived at 12:30 as I decided to have a sandwich first rather than arrive and join a long queue for a burger a short while later. What surprised me was that a few exhibitors were already leaving! This increased to fairly continuous by 14:00 and a flood by 15:00. When we get loads of rubbish about Health & Safety in other areas I am surprised organisers allow these excessive car movements. Surely it would be reasnoble to ask exhibitors to be in place for the duration. One car I saw leaving towards 14:00 lives only a few miles away and were probably having a cuppa at quarter past. And some visitors having to pay admission at that time must have felt slightly robbed...

Agreed.....suppose a lot of it is owners using their cars to get in for free and leaving once they've had a mosey around

As a marshal and show organiser my worry is always that these people who insist on leaving early are often driving across a field full of people, including children, who are not expecting cars to be moving and so are not looking out for them.
