Hi All, first time on a forum and am finding it a little difficult, my dad died a while back and my fondest memory was his 63 Mk3 Zodiac, so i managed to buy one, i am a car repairer by trade and seem to be doing more and more classics as the years go on, i intend to restore this old girl and would like some help.

Hi and welcome! You have come to the right place as many of us are long term Mk III owners/fans (37 years here). To get full benefit it is worth joining the club the benefits of which include getting access to all areas of the forum, bi-monthly newsletter, club days and club spares. Also only members may advertise in parts wanted - this is to prevent Wheeler Dealer types getting hold of rare spares whilst giving nothing in return!

Ah just checked the members list and i am on there? If you are checking the members tab you will see there are various rankings. Only "Club Members" are allowed to advertise in "Parts Wanted". The first post in Introductions explains how to join the club...

I have edited posts above to remove requests for "Parts Wanted".
As mentioned, information on how to join the owners club is in "Introductions" and also the first post in "Forum Announcements".

wow this feels like hard work, emailed the form, got a reply from Steve? gave me bank details for the treasurer, sent payment, no reply contacted Eddie, doesn't know who Jon Power is :0( today posted the receipt and the original membership form, it feels harder to get in to this club than it would be to get in to wormwood scrubs, i just want to be a member and get my old girl back to her former glory

Sorry you are having difficulty. I originally joined in 1980 (where did the years go?) and have never had an issue renewing. The route I would recommend is to print off the form, complete it and send it with a cheque/PO and SAE to Stephen. Jon is indeed the treasurer and has been for many years. I am sure if your monies have gone into the club account everything will be resolved shortly!
Many people want to make online payments but this is awkward, and potentially expensive, for smaller groups. One smaller club I belong to allows payment via transfer to the clunb's account. However, once they set it up some people asked to pay by card(!) or PayPal. Currently cheques are still the easiest way for most smaller (<500) clubs. The banks should be making things easier but in reality it is squeeze both individuals and companies to maximise profits and bonuses. I commuted for many years and before the crash some of the City bonuses you heard about were obscene! But then I am an over qualified Luddite who actually thinks this country should make things instead of endlessly importing low grade rubbish!

I did not realise that you had sent payment to the treasurer - to be honest I didn't know we were accepting payment in that way. As Michael says, sending a cheque to the membership secretary is the usual way.
