As an ex smoker i'm one of the worst to ask - joking ;D It's along the lines of the woman who got done for eating a Kit Kat at the wheel. Madness!! There is legislation there that can do you for changing a CD or knob twiddling on the radio. If they really wanted they could do you for lighting a fag. Summat to do with not being in full control of the vehicle. I've no doubt someone will know the relative piece of legislation. Oh and in case you are wondering 40 Park Drive Plain a day. Tried to reduce by smoking less Capstan full strength to no avail. Would decant to Consulate if i absolutely had to when i had the flu. happy days. 75p for 20 when i gave up and that was the reason i gave up - price. Arthur

40 Park Drive Plain a day. There a good old cig ! last time i saw them they were over £7 a packet. I really hate the way smokers are persecuted. I know its a dirty smelly habit but when your hooked your hooked. The proposed legislation has mainly to do with others in the car passive smoking in which case what are they going to do with these inconsiderate people who smog the house out while there kids are present. Just another stab at the overtaxed smoker and a way to further persecute the motorist as a cash cow If they want to improve road safety i think theres bigger fish to fry than the motorist smoking his heavily taxed cig in his heavily taxed car running on heavily taxed fuel. ;D

Yea wot Arthur said! I did 25 years of 40 No6/JPS black a day followed by another 5 years on rollups. I'm glad I stopped but I just hate being told what to do and what not to do.
