Hi the Zodiac with the registration number 778PP was my mum and dads car, it would be great to know where it is now I suspect it’s not around anymore, a quick search on DVLA vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ doesn’t show anything for that registration number, unless it’s been tucked away somewhere for so long it’s gone off the DVLA radar or its been re-registered on another number

I had a look at some old photos and found that 778 PP was at the club's 50th anniversary meeting in 2012 when it was owned by Mick, who started this forum. I know he sold it and left the club, but I don't know who he sold it to.

It was a pretty good car and he spent a lot of time and money on it so it should still be around.

That’s really good news then, fair chance it’s still around somewhere but on a different registration number as 778PP doesn’t come up on any checks, my guess is someone has taken the number of the Zodiac and it’s on a retention certificate and they’ve either kept it or sold it (the reg number that is) but the number hasn’t been re-assigned to anything else yet and then the Zodiac has been re-registered on an age related plate. I always think it’s such a shame when original registration numbers get taken of a car, especially one that looks as lovely and original as this Zodiac.
My father-in-law had a really lovely original 1960 Ford Anglia 105e with lots of well documented history, The reg number was 20 JYA I’d known the previous owner of the car for many years before my father-in-law bought the car, as soon as my father-in-law sold the car on the reg number was removed by the buyer and the car sold on again on a re-registered number, all that history with the car now pointless and worthless such a shame.

Wow, that’s amazing what you guys have come up with but, not only that, it’s great that the car is still around. So many have suffered the ultimate fate.
