With Lockdown I have been filling time watching some Wheeler Dealer repeats. These were about a decade old. I thought it would be interesting to see what the DVLA had on them. Only two I searched on, an Elan and Volvo P1800, are still currently on the road. Others have totally disappeared or ran out of MOT. One failed on nearly everything related to brakes and steering, and was classified as dangerous, whilst another has serious corrosion on every suspension mounting point. Don't think I will be buying an ex-WD anytime soon!

That just about sums up the kind of cars they are buying (maybe I can sell them mine!) do you have the reg number of teh P1800 as one of my brothers is looking for one and I doint want him to buy a pup

They did quite well in stock car racing in the late seventies for a short period as not that many were ever sold...

I know someone who has the yellow American car they did, he's not impressed and the wiring was a bodge

I have seen the red Cortina GT in the flesh as it's not far form me, spotted and had a long look in Lincoln last year, Fuzz made a great job of that I have to say.
