Hi All, Just joined the Forum. I am in South Australia but origin Liverpool UK. Just bought a 1964 Zephyr 6 Mk3 running but needs some work. Already have another one but that one is a total restoration so I figured the opportunity to pick one up that runs and stops was too good to pass up and at a reasonable price, albeit I had to pay to get it delivered from Queensland. Great to be accepted on to this Forum. I am a member of other forums with my other cars and the knowledge available is invaluable and getting around the Mk3 is not something I am familiar with (except holding the torch at night when Dad was fixing his back in the 60-70s). Look forward to participating and learning. Cheers Jim

Hello and welcome! A distant cousin lives in SA just outside Adelaide. I have only been there the once and sadly only had once full day there. The one place that sticks in my mind was the Bradman Museum. Be good to see some photos of your cars. Cheers, Michael...

Hi Michael, Thanks for the welcome. I live 30 kms from Adelaide in the Northern suburbs. Will put some pictures up when I work out how to. Cheers Jim
Hey John, I was born in Speke, family moved to Fazackerley then to Ellesmere Port by the time I was 12 (Dad worked a Bowaters). I travelled a bit working finally landing here in Aus. My eldest Brother lived in Netherley when it was new (he is in Aus too now). Your Z6 looks like it is the same colour my Dad had it was a very light grey could almost be taken for white in the right light. Thanks for the welcome. Cheers Jim

Hi and welcome, and thanks for posting. We seem to be getting a few from Aus and NZ lately, both on here and on Facebook. Do you know how many Zephyrs and Zodiacs there are down there? I recon there must be more down under than there are up here (you certainly seem to have more people making spares for them)

Hi Jim, my cousins and offspring are all about 20km outside the centre in the Port Adelaide area.
The number of surviving Mk IIIs must be down to the climate as my understanding was they were competing against Ford's own Falcon. I drove a friend's 4 litre Falcon around the Brisbane area and thought its torque would suit my Mk III! And it's a Ford engine...

Hi again Jim, I moved many years ago to Allerton from Fazackerley and from Allerton to Gateacre. My picture is a bit deceptive as my 1966 Z6 is so late in the production run it is a MK4 beige colour, apparently Ford offered the new MK4 colour options for the new range on the last of the MK3 orders! Be good to see some pics of your car too. Stay safe and healthy, John
