Earlier this year i attended the London to Brighton run in June as a first outing in my car. I cant recommend it highly enough and it was definitely one of my favorite events this year. Its also a great way to get the Mrs out with you and show her that its not all about anoraks standing in a field talking car problems. The route book is very easy to follow ( even for non map reader folk) and there was a nice lunch stop point at Parham house before the final leg to Brighton. Even tho the rain was coming down heavy at the end of the run it didn't take away anything from the enjoyment of the day as it was great to do some mileage on the kind of roads these cars were designed for. At £87 per car its not cheap but well worth every penny. Keep an eye out on the Greenwoods site for 2012 dates. www.classicmotorshow.com/

1 week to go .....weather looks like being patchy and a rerun of last years dry start / wet end. If its as much fun as last year it'll be worth every penny tho. Anyone else entered ?

Just got back after the 4.30am start to london and 375 mile round trip A great day all round and Great to see friends at the finish line Car performed without fault and made it into Brighton dry / clean and shining Day was mainly dry which was a big relief. Nice to see 2 other mk3 enthusiast and there cars to. Big thanks to my My Mrs Tracey for great navigation and allround support Missed the wave off by Stirling moss this year .....instead we had a guy who would have been more at home flogging deck chair hire on the beach. Had lots of nice words/attention on the car and had some guys in an amazing peppermint green caddy ragtop ( i think ) taking pics while we drove along the m25. High praise indeed from those with such an amazing car! Pics to come Sounds like one or 2 of us had some good times today at various meetings ....good stuff
