Has anyone seen the Zodiac for sale on eBay? Β£6900, Reg CWB7B, I recognise the number plate and it must be well known in the club as the previous owner had it for 43 years. Steve however didnβt seem to know the car. Does anyone else know anything about it?

Yeah, it's a bloke called Don Scott, in Lancing, trades as "superbird racing" on eBay, some years ago I bought a car off him and found him pretty genuine. Needless to say if anyone is considering the Zodiac.... it'll no doubt benefit from a "darn good thorough look over" and depending on the verdict no doubt a wadge of readies could do the talking...ππ

Possibly that is a personalised registration number and it is actually a 65 or 66 car?

Good spotting chaps.... didn't think of those,... probably because both mine are missing the cill trims and wing badges...might be worth checking the mot history if it's got one, it should give a reg date??π

Just checked the mot history....valid till Jan 2020,61000 miles, has had some issues, no doubt it'll probably want some attention to steering/ suspension and the usual fettling as normal, reg date shows July 1st 1964......ππ

The problem is back in the day I know someone who ran two identical cars on one set of plates so you really to check the numbers...

Itβs annoying that this one came up for sale and relatively close to me as I was looking for an earlier car and one not in white. After just spending Β£5380 on mine I really couldnβt justify buying this one, tempting though, it must have been looked after if someone had it for 43 years. Also Iβm far too attached to mine now, I love it more every day and Iβm getting used to the vinyl roof. By the way, how does one go about uploading pictures to the forum?

My understanding is you have to host them on an external site and put the link in your post, if you post directly on the forum it uses up 'bandwidth' whatever that may mean exactly I've been using imgbox as it's free and you don't have to sign up or anything, you have do a bit of jiggery pokery but it's fairly straightforward
