I saw this elsewhere and it made me smile...
i) When you mount a portrait of a Land Rover against the wall, remember to put newspapers on the floor for the oil leaks.
ii) A Land Rover doesn't leak oil - they're only marking their territory.
iii) You know its a Land Rover when you stop at the fuel station and ask the attendant to check the fuel level and fill up the oil.
iv) All Land Rovers are like women - They leak when you don't want them to, moan on long journey's, embarrass you in front of friends and spend more money than you ever expected once you've commit yourself to one.

I miss , my series 3 diesel SWB Safari, it was great, a bit leaky, smelly and grumpy (the car was the same) Her indoors sold it out from under me, swapped it for a Mitsubishi Shogun Sport V6 auto (she could never master the gearchange or handbrake on 'Busby' he was ex BT) anyway we ,or rather, she has had the Shogun for about 4 years, I recently checked out the Land Rovers' MOT history, over the 4 years it s been away, it needed a tyre and a prop shaft universal joint, about 50 quids worth, the Shogun ,in the same time period, has had a fortune spent on it, that and rampant corrosion means its off very soon, I'm looking for another Land Rover and a Lightweight (which is actually heavier) one this time, with less creature comforts than the series 3, can't wait, the missus will love it (not) CD

Don't think I will acquire another Mk3 soon ( have been selling off my spare stash, couple of front doors/glass/rim left) have been worrying a 3.8 S type Jag, so that might be next? Get my Ford fix playing with my Anglia. Keep up the good work CD
